Children of the Congo - Children of the World

Children of the Congo - Children of the World is a charitable association. that was created in 2003 with the intention of helping to improve the living conditions of the children living in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who have been so badly affected by the devastation caused by the 10 year-old regional conflict sometimes called the African world war.

The founder and promoter of this project is Jean Paul Wabotaï (www.wabotai.com), a Congolese artist and teacher, who has been involved in humanitarian projects since 1993. Jean-Paul is a cultural ambassador for the Congolese nation and has dedicated his teaching and artistic endeavours to the challenge of helping to eliminate poverty in the continent of Africa and more specifically in the Congo.

He has worked extensively in Europe, Australia and America bringing the culture of his country to a wider audience and was actively engaged in the International Year for the Culture of Peace in 2000.
